Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000/year plus commission (Targeted Total Compensation of approx. $90,000 – $100,000/year) 


Green Circle Ideas is looking for a Business Development Manager who will focus on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Waste Recovery in the US.

Green Circle Ideas (GCI) is a full-circle service provider that has developed a sustainable and profitable waste recovery business model through its Green Circle Salons (GCS) business entity in the salons/spas vertical. Green Circle Salons offers greener, smarter choices for salons to offer their guests and employees. Our systems are designed to generate additional revenues for salons and offer an affordable and achievable pathway for salons to make a difference and build their salon into a sustainable green business. 

In 2020, with the onset of COVID-19, GCS developed a PPE waste recovery initiative for its salon members. The success of this initiative enabled GCS to expand into adjacent verticals that are significant generators of PPE waste and key targets for the PPE waste recovery initiative. In late 2021, GCI made the strategic decision to establish a separate business entity for PPE waste recovery to further penetrate key verticals and grow the business. As a result, we are looking for a motivated and articulate Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our US sales team. 

The responsibilities of the BDM include identifying new business potential and executing key sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue targets (including prospecting, negotiating, and closing), while providing superior customer service for the life of the account. 

To be successful you must be comfortable communicating with customers to understand their needs and deliver a superb experience, from introduction to closing to ongoing account management. You must also be extremely comfortable with providing exceptional post-sale customer service.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Meet revenue targets and grow the PPE Waste Recovery business in the US
  • Identify leads, initiate contact, manage the pipeline, and follow-up through to close
  • Sell the PPE waste recovery program and on-board new clients to ensure achievement of all revenue targets
  • Train new customers on the processes and procedures associated with the PPE waste recovery business model 
  • Set-up and manage customers in the CRM system
  • Be the first line of contact for customers and provide superior account management and servicing as required
  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with potential and existing customers to ensure open communication and deliver a rewarding customer experience
  • Troubleshoot issues and address questions relating to the program



  • Ensure accuracy of relevant sales documents and account information
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate on-boarding and maintenance of accounts 
  • Monitor customer success with the program via regular and ongoing maintenance of the relationship
  • Ensure the distribution of presentations, promotional materials, sales packages, and welcome kits, as required
  • Maintain communications with the Corporate Office to facilitate the promotion and sale of the program 


Key Qualifications

  • A strong working knowledge of the US waste recovery market with specific knowledge and contacts in the Healthcare and/or Food Processing verticals and/or PPE waste recovery
  • Superior prospecting, negotiation, selling, and closing skills
  • Excellent account management and customer service skills and focus
  • Hungry, humble and smart
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Good listener capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with numbers including forecasting and sales data analysis 
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a close team


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management (preferred)
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in a sales role
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software (Google Workspace, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalents), CRM and online video conferencing)


Working Conditions

  • This role is fully remote and can be located anywhere across the US
  • Willingness to travel
